The City of Seattle (the “City”) is canceling parking tickets issued between September 1, 2021 and April 5, 2022 (the “non-commissioned period”) because the City’s Parking Enforcement Officer did not have a Special Police Commission at the time of issuance.

An Eligible Parking Ticket is a non-moving ticket issued by Parking Enforcement within the non-commissioned period. Other tickets, such as traffic tickets or tickets issued by Seattle Police Officers are not included and will not be canceled or reimbursed under this program. If you received an Eligible Parking Ticket, your ticket will be canceled if you have not yet paid it or, if you have paid your ticket, you will receive a refund. Refunds will be credited or sent to the registered owner of the vehicle based on the license plate number captured on the citation.

Summary of Your Options

If you received an Eligible Parking Ticket but have not paid your ticket... The City of Seattle canceled your ticket. You have no obligation to pay your ticket and you do not need to do anything more with respect to your ticket.
If you received an Eligible Parking Ticket and paid your ticket by credit or debit card... If you made your payment using a credit or debit card through the City of Seattle’s Municipal Court website or automated telephone system, the City will refund your payment back to the corresponding card.
If you received an Eligible Parking Ticket and paid your ticket by check or cash... If you made your payment using a check or cash, the Third Party Administrator will issue you a refund by check to the mailing address on record with the City.
